September 2012 - Podcast - Hear No Evil

What's in our podcast?

September 2012

This month's mix is inspired not only by one of our favourite labels, Full Time Hobby, but more importantly talented HNE collaborator and Full Time Hobbyist - Mike Lindsay.

We caught up with Mike over a cuppa this week at our London HQ as he returned to the Smoke from an inspirational stay in Iceland. Surrounded by nothing but large fishermen with even larger beards, he recalled extraordinary tales of his time living in a remote north Icelandic community creating his latest solo project in the guise of the Cheek Mountain Thief.

As well as getting to hear some of Cheek Mountain Thief's new work, this month's mix showcases some of the best music from Full Time Hobby. They're currently releasing a serious amount of beautiful music to the world and the podcast features artists such as the ethereal School Of Seven Bells through to the '60s influenced sound of Hooded Fang via cabaret-infused The Leisure Society, there's some real gems to be heard.

Cheek Mountain Thief is out now on Full Time Hobby.
